BEVERLY HILLS, August 8, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen the commercial bank accounts of Akwa Ibom State government.
News reports Wednesday said Governor Udom Emmanuel and the state’s Accountant-General raised the alarm when they discovered the development.
It is not clear why the agency moved against Akwa Ibom finances barely 24 hours after it carried out a similar exercise in Benue State.
