SAN FRANCISCO, November 19, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with former President Goodluck Jonathan on his 60th birthday, slated for Monday November 20th, 2017.
The President, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and publicity, Femi Adesina, described Jonathan as a man with a unique history.
He noted that Jonathan, within a short period, rose from being a Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice President to becoming Nigeria’s President for six years.
The President said he joined members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), professional colleagues, associates and his family in celebrating Jonathan.
Buhari said he believes that Jonathan’s foray into politics and ascendancy to the highest political office in Nigeria from a humble riverine background testified to the greatness and inclusiveness of Nigeria’s democracy.
This, he said, serves as an invitation to all those with interest to add value to the nation.
President Buhari prayed that the almighty God will bless Jonathan with good health, wisdom and strength to continue serving the country.
