SAN FRANCISCO, February 05, (THEWILL) – For the first time in about eight months since he took charge of the nation’s affairs, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, February 5, 2016, began a short vacation that will terminate on Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
This was communicated to Nigerians in statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, on Friday.
The statement disclosed that while the President is on vacation, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will perform the functions of the President.
“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives,” Adesina stated.
