BEVERLY HILLS, February 26, (THEWILL) – Two bomb blasts have occurred at the Central Taxi Park in Jos, Plateau State, North-Central Nigeria, killing at least 17 persons, according to witnesses and the military.
The blasts occurred minutes apart during rush hour on Thursday evening at the station located along Bauchi Road, near the University of Jos, in the coal city.
The Jos attack is coming hours after two suicide bombers killed at least 15 people at a bus station in Biu, Borno State, northeastern Nigeria, one of the two states President Goodluck Jonathan visited unannounced Thursday. The other state is Adamawa.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks which bears the signature of the Boko Haram, a radical Islamic terrorist group, operating in northern Nigeria.
