BEVERLY HILLS, November 26, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday appeared before the Dr. Ahmadu Ali Presidential screening panel of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, where he was screened behind closed-doors.
President Jonathan was accompanied to the venue of the screening by Vice President Namadi Sambo, Ministers and other top government officials.
Also screened was the son of slain former prime minister, Alhaji Abdul halil Tafawa Balewa, who told journalists that he had withdrawn from the Presidential race after appearing before the panel.
He declined further comments on the matter when journalists sought to know why he dropped out of the race.
The development leaves President Jonathan as the ruling party’s sole presidential aspirant for the 2015 general elections.
