BEVERLY HILLS, May 02, (THEWILL) – Popularly referred to as the Nerd Prom, Saturday April 30, 2016 saw a diverse range of guests attend the 102nd White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, DC.
Held by the White House Correspondents’ Association, the annual event brings together public figures from those three very different worlds –Politics, Celebrities and Journalists to celebrate the Washington, D.C. press corps responsible for covering President Obama’s administration.
The dinner held in honour of Barack Obama, his last as POTUS, saw the likes of Dame Helen Mirren, Kendall Jenner, Joe Biden, Kerry Washington, Adriana Lima, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Emma Watson, Shonda Rhimes, DJ Khaleed, Gabrielle Union, Morgan Freeman, Gayle King, Aretha Franklin, Vivica Fox, among others grace the red carpet.
Obama’s speech at the dinner has become the subject of discussion worldwide thanks to his jabs at Donald Trump as well as his “Obama Out” mic dropping antics.
