San Francisco, May 17, (THEWILL) – The President of Ghana, Mr. John Atta-Mills arrived in Abuja today, to pay a condolence visit to the people and government of Nigerian on the passing of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
Atta-Mills also used the visit to congratulate Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan on his assumption of office as president.
In a related development, the South African Minister of International Relations, Ms. Maite Nkoana-Mashabane also visited President Jonathan in the company of South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, JNK Mamabolo and Nigerian High Commissioner to South Africa, General Buba Marwa, to deliver a condolence letter on behalf of South African President Mr. Jacob Zuma.
