PORT HARCOURT, April 23, (THEWILL) - The Chairman of the Action Congress, Rivers State Chapter, and Hon Suage Badey has condemned Atiku Abubakar’s decampment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with his co-travellers, stating that the action was to say the least disheartening

Badey stated this while briefing Newsmen at Owerri Thursday.

Hon Badey described Atiku’s declaration for the PDP as a shift from progressive elements to political retrogression lamenting that Leaders are meant to have a fixed vision laced with guiding principles that should sustain the vision, adding that Atiku seems to have no principles.

According to him the Action Congress is the Party to beat in the coming 2011 elections having performed creditably in Edo and Lagos states, reasoning that the positive values inherent in the Action Congress is incontestable.

He anchored his arguments on the Action Congress' solid ideology, noting that Action Congress will bring about the much needed change required to move Nigeria to the next level.

He called on progressive minds to make a bold step and join AC, stating that  "our doors have been thrown open to men and women of positive ideas that will assist in our quest in bringing meaningful development to the good people of Rivers State."
