The Archbishop of the Benin Diocese of the Anglican Communion and Edo State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Peter Imasuen, has been released.

Our source said he was released on Wednesday night, three days after his abduction by unknown gunmen who trailed him to his residence after Sunday church service at his St. Matthew Cathedral on Sakpoba road, Benin City. He was kidnapped at his Bishop Court residence in Iyaro, Benin City.

THEWILL has not been able to independently verify claims that a ransom was paid to secure his release.
