NIGERIA NATIONAL CIVIL SERVICE RULES OF 2006 STATES THAT IF ANY PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDER UNDERTAKES A MEDICAL LEAVE FOR MORETHAN 42 DAYS, HIS MEDICAL RECORDS SHOULD BE EXAMINED TO DETERMINE SUITABILITY OF CONTINUING IN OFFICE.

San Francisco, Jan 10, (THEWILL) – In our reports of December 27th and January 9th, we exclusively reported that the Nigerian President had suffered an embolic stroke and could not communicate with anyone. The reports also indicated that he is brain dead. We also reported exclusively on December 27th that the ailing Nigerian President was evacuated on a stretcher in a coma from the National Hospital in Abuja in clear contrast to reports and images in the media showing him boarding the Presidential plane.

Since we ran the reports there have been series of ploys hatched to deliberately mislead and misinform Nigerians on the true state of the President’s health. Those involved in these ploys are a few elements in the Yar’Adua administration.

They include the members of the infamous kitchen cabinet; the President’s wife, Hajiya Turai; President’s Economic Adviser, Tanimu Yakubu; Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State; Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara State; and Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Sayyadi Abba Ruma.

Others are the President’s CSO, Mohammed Tilde; the President’s ADC, Colonel Mustapha Onoedieva; President’s Director of Protocol, Alhaji Inuwa Baba; Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Senator Mohammed Abba Aji; Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Abdullah Garba Aminchi; Attorney General, Michael Aondoakaa and; a member of the House of Representatives from Katsina State representing the Faskari/Kankara Sabuwa Constituency, Alhaji Shehu Inuwa Iman.

These influential people have done everything possible to shield the truth from the Nigerian public and have deliberately misinformed the Vice President, Ministers, Legislators and the Media on the true state of Umaru Yar’Adua.

Access to the President or information on his wellbeing since his hospitalization at the King Faisal Hospital has been extremely restricted. The hospital at some point put some staff attending to the president on compulsory leave after it discovered that they were the inside source of information on the ailing leader.

Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua even went a step further by denying their daughters access to the President for fear of revealing information on the President’s current state of health to their suitors.

Turai who has also been reported to have sneaked into Aso Rock Villa at night a couple of times to retrieve things from the residence has since enlisted the services of marabouts to help revive her husband.

The Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab incident was the back breaker for the group.

Diplomatic sources in Washington DC informed THEWILL that President Barack Obama was very angry when he couldn’t reach the Nigerian President to discuss the Mutallab incident. It was as a result of Yar’Adua being incommunicado that prompted concerted efforts to find out his true state of health, which eventually revealed him to be in a vegetative state.

Recall that US President Obama has spoken publicly on the Abdul Mutallab incident more than three times and no word has come from President Yar’Adua.

Nigeria has gone 49 days without an active Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, even as the country marks another Armed Forces Remembrance Day on January 15, 2009.

The Senate, House of Representatives, Governors elected under the PDP, and PDP Board of Trustees are meeting separately this week from Tuesday to decide on the next line of action.

Democracy advocates led by Professor Wole Soyinka, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, Chief Emeka Ojukwu, Dr. Tunde Bakare, Mrs. Ayo Obe, Professor Pat Utomi and others will hold a rally in Abuja on Tuesday January 12th, to force the National Assembly to resolve the crisis caused by the President’s absence.

The kitchen cabinet in response to recent reports on the President’s vegetative state has started another round of misleading information saying that the President would return to Nigerian on January 30, 2009 and would also make a live broadcast to Nigerians soon. Another obviously misleading propaganda designed to calm nerves and buy more time for their agenda.

Recall the President was not available to swear in the CJN; he did not personally sign the 2009 Supplementary Budget; he has still not spoken to the American President on the Mutallab incident even after the USA blacklisted Nigeria in the wake of the bomb attack; he has neither spoken to the Vice President, Mr. Goodluck Jonathan; Senate President, David Mark; Speaker of the House, Dimeji Bankole; or any previous Heads of State as speculated last week, and most importantly he did not and has still not made the traditional New Year’s Day address to Nigerians.

As we continue to wait for the speculated live broadcast after a series of orchestrated misinformation, a member of the Armed Forces who craved anonymity said he hopes the current leaders are able to resolve the current logjam as soon as possible to save the country from an imminent chaos.
