Los Angeles (THEWILL) - Actress Brittany Murphy, 32, died early Sunday morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived when her mom discovered her unconscious in the shower.

Reports from TMZ said ‘when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR.’

They continued CPR en route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills, California but Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 10.04 am.

THEWILL was informed that a 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department said.

Brittany Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."

TMZ says said she was reportedly fired from last film, "The Caller," after reports she was problematic on set.

The LA County Coroner has taken Murphy's body from the hospital and will launch a death investigation.

The LAPD has also launched its investigation. Two LAPD officers were seen going into Murphy's home.

Her mother has revealed that she has a history of diabetes.

Brittany’s husband Simon Monjack, told hospital staff he did not want an autopsy performed on his deceased wife, according to multiple sources.
