Lou Dobbs Leaves CNN

San Francisco (THEWILL) - Lou Dobbs, CNN's most vocal anchor, and no 1 critic of the Obama administration surprisingly resigned from his job on wednesday. Mr. Dobbs informed his viewers on live television he was resigning with immediate effect.

Mr. Dobbs, also known as "Mr. Independent" was told to tone down his criticisms of the Obama administration some months ago by his boss, Jonathan Klein. The anchor of the programme Lou Dobbs tonight is renowned for his strong opposition to illegal immigration into the United States.

In 1999, Mr. Dobbs resigned from CNN over disagreements with former management lead by Rick Kaplan but returned two years later.

"I am grateful for the many opportunities that CNN has given me over these many years," He said.

The network says it will announce a replacement for Mr. Dobbs thursday morning.
