London Southwark Court Adjourns Again
San Francisco (THEWILL) - Judge Christopher Hardy, the trial judge in the money laundering trial of Christine Ibori-Ibie, Ms. Bimpe Pogoson and Ms. Udoamaka Okoronkwo, all associates of James Ibori, a former governor of Delta State in Nigeria, has again adjourned the trial to the 24th of November.
The adjournment according to sources is to enable an Asaba High Court give its ruling on whether there is enough evidence to continue the former governor's trial in Asaba.
Last week, Justice Marcel Awokulehin, the presiding judge in the Asaba case surprisingly deferred ruling citing pressures amongst other reasons. His ruling is expected to come November 23rd 2009.
