Representative Hails New IGP Abubakar
NEW ACTING IGP, MOHAMMED DIKKO ABUBAKAR,
ABUJA, January 29, (THEWILL) – The Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Hon. Suleiman Abdurahman Kawu Sumaila (ANPP, Kano) has commended President Goodluck Jonathan over the appointment of Mohammed Dikko Abubakar as new Inspector-General of Police.
In a statement in Abuja today, Hon. Sumaila described the new IG as serious minded and well-trained officer who has distinguished himself over the years with clean record of achievements and incorruptibility.
Similarly, the legislator admonished the new police helmsman not to disappoint the President and Nigerians whom entrust him with the responsibility of providing security of lives and property across the country especially in these critical times of serious insecurity.
He also urged the new IG to shun any act of corruption but to rather see himself as a team player determined to restore hope, dignity and lost confidence among the populace.
The Minority Leader also charged him to leave above board in the discharge of his duties.
Kawu prayed Almighty God to grant him the wisdom to carry out his duties diligently and effectively to the best of his ability.
