SAN FRANCISCO, January 27, (THEWILL) - The "Together against Terror, a civil society organization has vowed to support the efforts of the Federal Government and security agencies in Nigeria in the war against terror.

This was contained in a press release issued by Mr. Dike Chigbue, Coordinator and Prince Tokunbo Olateru - Olagbegi, Executive Director.

This action they say comes against the backdrop of the heightening level of terrorism witnessed in most of the northern states of Nigeria, the organization has lined up series of activities to sensitize Nigerians on how they can assist the government to tackle terrorism.

This activities will not only be limited to a comprehensive Pro-vigilant & Anti terrorism campaign that will enlighten and sensitize the public mostly in the small towns and rural areas by way of door to door advocacy, road show campaigns and market interaction on how to tackle terrorism, but also partner with Traditional rulers, churches, mosques, traditional groups and other NGOs to assist in the campaign, this they claim would assist the campaign as they would focus their campaign mostly in the rural areas as that's where the terrorist groups  live and operate from, while their targets are the populated big city areas.

They further stated they believe that democracy and human rights are worth defending with all our strength, the human values of respect, tolerance and dignity should not be threatened but rather should be appreciated by all universally.

The campaign they elaborated is to make every Nigerian work together to defeat the axis of evil, while we remain resolute in the face of adversity.
