Imoke Cautions On Orderly Conduct During PDP Congress

CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNOR, SENATOR LIYEL IMOKE

CALABAR, January 20, (THEWILL) - Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke has appealed to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State to conduct themselves in the most orderly manner during the ward congress of the party in the State.
 
Governor Imoke in a statement by Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr. Omini Oden, said being an exemplary political party that operates by the rules all Procedures and guidelines must be adhered to in accordance with the PDP Constitution and relevant provisions.
 
Contrary to news making the rounds that political opponents’ supporters are being intimidated with the use of security agencies, the Governor assures that all machinery has been put in place to ensure a hitch free conduct in the State and all shades of opinion, platforms and groups will be giving a level playing field.
 
The Governor assured all and sundry that Cross River State will stop at nothing but sustain the good legacy it is known for by ensuring peace and the maintenance of law and order during the PDP congress across the all political wards in the State.
 
“On behalf of the good people of Cross River State, Governor Imoke welcomes all delegates, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), officials from the Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party to the State and wished them the warmest stay in Cross River State,” a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary added, saying, Welcome to Cross River State, the destination of Choice and Africa’s warmest welcome.
