BREAKING NEWS: Goodluck Jonathan to sign 2010 budget this Thursday morning.

ABUJA, April 21, (THEWILL) – THEWILL’s presidency source on Wednesday said Nigeria's Acting President Goodluck Jonathan hopes to sign into law the oil rich nation’s N4.608 trillion naira budget for 2010, before the weekend.

The Acting President withdrew his assent to the budget after it was passed and approved by the National Assembly two weeks ago, due to some disagreements between him and the legislators.

Jonathan and the leadership of the National Assembly have been meeting to straighten out their areas of differences and "the deliberations are going well," the source said.

When signed into law, the budget is expected to address Nigeria’s Niger Delta problem amongst others.
