Zenith: Godwin Emefiele Appointed to Replace Ovia

Abuja Jan 25, (THEWILL) – Feelers from Zenith Bank Plc indicate that Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the Deputy Managing Director of the bank has been appointed to replace Mr. Jim Ovia, the out going CEO.
Emefiele’s appointment was done at a board meeting on Monday in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria directive on term limit for bank CEO’s.
The bank is expected to formally announce his appointment later today but Mr. Emefiele will have to wait for a CBN confirmation before he can resume his new assignment on August 31, 2010.
