Nigeria’s Diamond Bank Reports Profit

Abuja (THEWILL) - Diamond Bank, one of Nigeria’s 25 banks on Wednesday reported a pre-tax profit of N1.12 billion naira for its half year ending in October 2009, representing a 92% drop from its reporting last year.

The bank’s gross earnings jumped to N53.18 billion naira from N49.33 billion last year, according to a filing at the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Diamond bank shares are also listed on the London Stock Exchange.
